As a species, we are empathetic enough to anthropomorphise human characteristics on to non-human machines and conceited enough to hold the anthropocentric belief that there will always be something essentially human that can't be replicated or surpassed by a machine.

Ramadan is meant to be about self-discipline and stamina, yet some individuals and societies feel they must force people who aren't fasting to not eat or drink in public If your will is so weak that you can't stand someone else eating or drinking, maybe you shouldn't be fasting

Why this event should rile conservatives so much is literally beyond belief. Faith is, after all, a private matter. Nobody has the right to appoint themselves gatekeepers to a religion. In a secular society, nobody has the right to force their beliefs and prejudices onto others.
