Hicham, that's true, there's too much factionalism in the Arab world.

Ramadan kareem to you, too.

I am not supporting that 'Western Imperialism' is the keystone behind all the problems of the Arab world although maybe it's part of the problem not the only reason. Look for the mentalities -majority- that are found in the reigion -either regimes or citizens- and how everything is in conflict, even on the intellectual level where they fight each other instead of hearing each other.

I am for that old Arabic Proverb: "Na3eeb Zamanouna wa Al-3aybo Fena" and I am wondering about the future for that matter!

p.s. Ramadan Kareem Khaled since it's the 4th day here :)

Mo, indeed it is unusual that the Arab world is the only region which has its very own human development report. Personally, rather than imperial designs, I suspect that the UNDP wanted to avert military intervention in Iraq by stressing that sustainable change could only come from within.

Don't be naive, the report is definitely an instrument of western imperialism. How else do you explain that the Arab world is the only region of the world with its own human development report?
